Our Welsh stallion Quintus, purchased from Spokane as a yearling, winter 2006. Shown hunter/jumper in halter previously, but certainly not "broke to ride" or saddle trained. My daughter was 9 years old.

Chantilly (M River Scrapy) Morgan mare. Never did like kids very much. Still doesn't.

Our funny "Crazy Pony". Kid's pony? Sure. But we had to warn visitors he would NIP them just to see how tough they were, when he first met them. He was sneaky about it! Grabbed one young visitor when nobody was looking and even left red scratches from his teeth! Little stinker. After about 2 days into a visit, putting up with kids, he would refuse to cooperate in any way. I guess he figured he'd done his part entertaining guests, at that point. Not fun anymore as far as he was concerned, so he was just DONE. I tended to agree wholeheartedly with his opinion. He was a great little guy.

Get a kid. Get a pony. Supervise them learning together. Now you have a Kid's Pony.
