Happy, happy! Happy Thanksgiving week to you!
We are looking forward to a fun group here for Thanksgiving! All of our kids will be home, some family are planning to travel to stay with us, and a few friends. My daughter has invited anyone she can find from the college, who will not be going home for Thanksgiving, to come help us eat up... and rescue us from too many leftovers.
Today, (Monday) I have been making meals ahead and washing all the bedding in the entire house, seems like, so I can make sleeping arrangements for guests staying through Thanksgiving and afterwards, until after the weekend, for Charles and Hannah's wedding.
So in case you are all out of ideas for Thanksgiving feasts, here's what I have planned so far:
Thursday Menu:
Roast home grown turkey with citrus veggie dressing.
Bread stuffing casserole; whipped mashed potatoes & gravy.
Baked whole yams, sliced; green bean casserole.
Tossed green salad; fruit salad; veggie tray & dip.
Pumpkin pie; chocolate cake trifle; fresh farm whipped cream.
Ginger ale fruit punch; cold milk; spiced cider.
Evening:
Dinner rolls, sandwich makings
Cheese variety & crackers
Cookies, caramel popcorn, and toffee candy
Board games (Guesstures, Apples to Apples? Shut the Box?)
Sorry, we have no TV, in order to watch the ball games... but our wifi is second to none... maybe you can catch the game online? :)
Have I forgotten anything?
Happy Thanksgiving!
:) Holly :)
